It is the year 2032. We realised that global warming was a problem over fifty years ago. What is global warming, why is it a problem, and what can we do to stop it?

Global warming is, as the name states, the gradual warming of the Earth. Once the light of the sun reaches the Earth, some is reflected and the rest is absorbed. Absorbing this energy makes the Earth hotter, but the Earth also loses this heat energy by radiating the heat into space. This radiation is called infra-red radiation. Every warm object, including human beings, can lose heat in this way.
