TRAINING TEACHERS TO SUCCEED IN A MULTICULTURAL CLASSROOM. White-Clark, R. Principal, 2005, 83(1), 23-26. While the United States is richly filled with diverse cultures and ethnicities that are reflected within the student bodies of public schools, the teachers do not reflect this same diversity. Although the "number of minority students in the U.S. is rapidly increasing, the number of minority teachers is declining" (p. 23).
