Weft-knitted tubular spacer fabric are disclosed in International Patent WO 2006/015599, which says the textiles are suitable for use in orthopaedic products.
According to the Patent Applicant, Tytex AS of Ikast, Denmark, specific applications for the fabric include stabilization of bone fractures, management of sprains, orthopaedic splints and casts, braces, and prosthetic limbs, as well as sports braces and equipment, and workwear.
