Article: PROGRESSIVE REDUCES AUTO INSURANCE PREMIUMS, EXPANDS PRODUCT OFFERINGS IN ARKANSAS; SECOND ARKANSAS RATE REDUCTION FOR THE COMPANY IN ONE YEAR

AUSTIN, Texas, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective March 8, Progressive, the 9th largest writer of automobile insurance in Arkansas, will reduce its rates nearly 1 percent statewide and expand its product to include policies for all drivers in the state. Previously, Progressive offered auto insurance only to drivers classified as high-risk, or non-standard.

This is the company's second rate reduction in the state in the past 9 months. In June of 1994, Progressive lowered its Arkansas auto rates an average of 3.9 percent statewide.
