JOE O'Reilly told gardai on the night his wife was murdered that he had had an affair with Dublin woman Nikki Pelley. Earlier, he had denied it three times during a routine interview.
He also admitted having stayed with his lover during the week, telling his wife Rachel he was playing softball and would stay in the office because it was too far to come home.
He said he had spoken to her on the day of the murder.
He also told gardai that the affair was over.
He named at least two possible suspects for his wife's murder, on the day her body was discovered at their home. They included Rachel's half-brother ...
