TULLOW Oil is on the verge of inclusion in the prestigious FTSE 100 index following a surge in its stock market value which has brought its market capitalisation to EU5.6bn.
On the London market last night Tullow stock was trading at PS5.32, and provided that price does not fall back significantly, the company should be included in the next review of the index, due next month.
Market watchers had anticipated that the Irish based firm, which has its main market listing in London, would make it on to the FTSE 100 in the June review. At the time the stock was trading around the PS4.40 mark and Tullow's market worth was in the ...
