Fire destroys shed in Gardner
GARDNER - A three-alarm fire destroyed a shed and melted the siding on the back of a house at 85 Chelsea St. about 4 p.m. yesterday.
The personnel-strapped Fire Department called for mutual aid to keep the fire from igniting the home, Lt. Stephen Fredette said.
"We only had six people to send to the fire,'' he said.
