- A rare, once-luxurious plane that was the equivalent of Air Force One and used to ferry West Germany's chancellor is grounded at a Central Florida attraction as a battle brews over its ownership.
The Lockheed L-1649A Super Constellation Starliner parked outside Fantasy of Flight is thought to be one of four remaining in the world, out of an estimated 44 built in the 1950s.
Directors of a nonprofit airplane museum were pleased to get the Starliner as a donation -- until they discovered, they say, that the former owner who restored it had secretly sold it back to himself.
