Jefferson, Iowa -- The road to the White House still runs through Iowa, which was invaded in just the past week by candidates Romney, Clinton, Brownback, Dodd, Huckabee, Obama, Tancredo and Biden.

Today, 189 days before the Iowa caucuses that officially begin the march to the Republican and Democratic nominations, the shapes of the horse races in both parties have become somewhat clear - as has the mix of issues that Iowans appear to be responding to when they listen to the candidates.
