Jul. 10--"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the final book in the Harry Potter series, will be released at 12:01 a.m. July 21, and there are countless ways to join in the festivities throughout the state starting the day before.

Chain bookstores, including Borders (bordersstores.com) and Barnes & Noble (bn.com), are hosting festivities, as are Stew Leonard's stores and many small bookstores and public libraries. There is even a website, potterparties.com, devoted to party listings.

Grab your Gryffindor scarf and a mug of butterbeer, and try to forget that this will be your final "Harry Potter" book launch party ...
