Jul. 10--Two economic development agencies are opposed to a zoning change that would allow Cathedral Preparatory School to build a multimillion-dollar athletic complex near West 12th and Cherry streets.
The Economic Development Corp. of Erie County and the Greater Erie Industrial Development Corp. contend that the zoning change would be "significantly detrimental to the industrial future of Erie."
Their opposition is similar to concerns expressed recently by some manufacturers near the proposed site.
Cathedral Prep is seeking a zoning change to build the complex, with an estimated price of $10 million to $12 ...
