Byline: PAUL OBERJUERGE
Nomar Garciaparra has lost his mojo.
Just a minute ago he was a slugging superstar. A guy whose clutch hitting and memorable home runs carried the Dodgers into the 2006 playoffs and earned him a two-year, $18.5 million contract.
He had a nice April this season, batting .307 with 19 RBIs.
And then his mojo went missing. He woke up May1, and it was gone.
Seized by international supercriminals, perhaps? Stolen by a cabal of opposing pitchers? Left behind in the trunk of a rental car?
Smothered by a couple of new babies in his Manhattan Beach home?
