In the construction business, it takes a lot of strength for a general contractor to be honest and straightforward with clients who want their projects completed quickly and as close to cost as possible, with little room for profit margin. Basically, you know that you're going to lose jobs to companies who promise the world in five days for a song, then end up coming back to the client with myriad change orders.
