PORTLAND - Former Oregon star Fred Jones' run with his hometown team lasted just 24 games, as the five-year pro was shipped along with forward Zach Randolph and guard Dan Dickau to the New York Knicks for guard Steve Francis and center Channing Frye on Thursday.
The centerpiece of the deal is Randolph, a player who became expendable after Portland's selection of forward LaMarcus Aldridge and center Greg Oden in the past two NBA drafts.
