Jul. 12--Even though the warm weather has returned and the sun is shining, some folks actually stay indoors to catch a few rays.
Most tanning salons say they experience a boom in business during the summer months.
"Every tanning salon is busier in the summer," said Vanessa Danby of Hot Tanz. "In the summer, they can't tell if you're faking a tan."
Andrea Johnson, who works at Downtown Tans, said it starts to get busy around March.
"So, when they go out to the lake, they have a tan, and people wear shorts in the summer," Johnson said.
