ST. LOUIS _ Choosing not to bat Albert Pujols in what Tony La Russa called a "magical moment" at this year's All-Star Game did not create a fissure between the Cardinals' manager and the club's franchise hitter. Far from it, Pujols insisted again Thursday.
But it did expose a rule La Russa would like tweaked.
Before departing for Friday night's second-half opener in Philadelphia, the Cardinals converged at Busch Stadium for a brief workout Thursday afternoon.
