A lister McGrath's two books, The Intellectual Origins of the European Reformation (Blackwell, 13.95[pounds]) and Reformation Thought: An Introduction (Blackwell, 13.99[pounds]) adopt an entirely different approach to the history of ideas. At the centre of both books is the author's understanding of what the Reformation was and his determination to trace its origins.
