Jul. 14--The anguish a mother felt last year for her son, gunned down at a West Side strip club, has turned into a lawsuit against the club, the scene of three homicides.
"I want to shut it down. With every breath I have in me, I'm going to," Emerald Smith said of the Downtown Dolls nightclub at 1336 W. Broad St. "It shouldn't have happened. The (suspects) were underage and had no business there."
Smith, of Reynoldsburg, filed a wrongful-death lawsuit this week against the owners of the club and anyone accused in the Aug. 10 slaying of her son, Andre D. Price II, 22.
