Takahiro Sato completed his doctorate in adapted physical education at The Ohio State University in early 2007. As a doctoral student he participated extensively in scholarship, leadership, and service activities in the field of adapted physical activity (APA). He has authored or co-authored several manuscripts (several already in print), as well as presented papers at local, national, and international conferences, including this year's AAHPERD Convention. Dr. Samuel Hodge, his nominator, stated that, "Takahiro is an independent researcher and emerging scholar in APA due to his diligence and devotion."
