83 Percent of Casual Gamers Willing to View Ads to Access Games

SEATTLE -- Macrovision Corporation (NASDAQ:MVSN), today revealed the results of its annual global survey on casual gaming. The survey results indicate an acceptance of alternative business models, reflecting broad support for advertising, online trials and cross-game promotion.

The results also show that casual gamers are still less than casual about their game playing habits - 28 percent play more than nine sessions per week with 32 percent of those sessions lasting at least an hour according to last year's survey.
