Carrots now good for both eyes and walleyes
Scottish scientists say carrot-fiber technology offers an environment-friendly alternative to carbon, and that manufacturers of carbon-fiber fishing rods should soon expect some stiff competition.
The product is called Curran--"a biocomposite material made from carrot nanofibers." Co-creator Dr. David Hepworth calls it "ONE OF THE MAJOR MATERIAL INNOVATIONS since the introduction of the carbon fiber more than thirty years ago."
