PARIS - Color is making a strong statement, while shimmer and shine continue to add to the women's fashion palette for spring-summer 1996.
Those were the important trends that emerged at the latest edition of Premiere Vision, the big fabrics fair here over the weekend and one that most people - despite price increases and the weaker dollar against the franc - described as the first "upbeat" edition in several seasons.
Many exhibitors said that while buyers are still conscious about price, they are no longer obsessive. The look and feel of the fabric is the primary concern, while price now comes second, they said.
