Samuel A. "Skip" Keesal has come a long way since the humble beginnings of the Long Beach law firm he started in 1970 with one secretary and a $60 typewriter. Keesal, a maritime law specialist at the time, got a good deal on a small office space because the property owner saw potential in the new law firm. "You look like you might do well," the owner told Keesal.
