Rising interest rates may be restrained: NCAER
New Delhi, July 22 (PTI) Ahead of the quarterly review of monetary policy by the Reserve Bank on July 31, economic think-tank NCAER expects the rising trend in interest rates over the past nine months is likely to be restrained in view of fall in inflation and global monetary scenario.
"With the steady international rates and moderating inflation rate the rising trend in the interest rate will be arrested," NCAER said in its monthly report.
The report, titled MacroTrack, said often the response of monetary policy is in tandem with inflation.
