Cosatu has accused Education MEC Cameron Dugmore of taking more than six weeks to put together and implement a comprehensive recovery plan.
Yesterday, Cosatu provincial secretary Tony Ehrenreich said Dugmore had been "tardy" and had not acted in the best interests of thousands of poor pupils who had missed out on a month of schooling during the strike.
"Dugmore had the entire four weeks of the strike and the two weeks of the school holidays to design and present a recovery plan for catching up on the education that pupils lost out on as a result of the strike.
"He has failed to adequately plan for these kids' ...
