The stock market remained bearish with slight ups and downs during the month under review. The State Bank Index of general share prices made a downturn to touch the low at 220.78 on December 22. The aggregate market capitalisation, however, improved from Rs. 366.769 billion to Rs. 377.332 billion. The following table shows the movement of the market.
