ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 1995--The Golf Channel has secured a multi-year charter sponsorship agreement with General Motors, the world's largest automaker, it was announced Sunday by Joseph E. Gibbs, president and chief executive officer of The Golf Channel.

``This sponsorship agreement from General Motors is significant in both quality and quantity for The Golf Channel,'' said Gary Stevenson, executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Golf Channel. ``It will give GM presence throughout our programming and puts their creative stamp of approval on our concept to define target marketing to the high demographic golf audience.''
