Every year, London's Serpentine Gallery throws its annual outdoor summer gala, and every year guests try to figure out what the heck the year's enormous installation is supposed to be.
"It reminds me of the giant mushroom that sprung up in my garden after the rain," said Stephen Webster, gazing at the huge, umbrella-like sculpture by Zaha Hadid.
"I really don't understand architecture," admitted Damien Hirst. "But I definitely prefer this one to Rem Koolhaas' design last year."
One benefit of Hadid's project, however, was the shade it provided as guests including Pierce Brosnan, Natalia Vodianova, Rod Stewart, Geri Halliwell, Thandie Newton, ...
