Article: Cubs ticket Izturis for Pittsburgh.(Sports)

When Lou Piniella got to the ballpark Thursday, he was set to write Cesar Izturis' name on the lineup card as his starting shortstop.

Instead, the Cubs wrote Izturis a plane ticket as they traded their short-time starting shortstop plus cash to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named later.

It was the second trade pulled off this week by general manager Jim Hendry. On Monday, he dealt catcher Rob Bowen to Oakland for catcher Jason Kendall.

Izturis was the Cubs' opening-day shortstop. That lineup bears little resemblance to what the Cubs field these days.
