A bitter struggle is looming between erstwhile friends and allies on opposite ends of the globe for the mining rights of Senegal's massive Faleme iron ore deposits.
Anglo American subsidiary, Kumba Iron Ore, has served legal papers on Senegal's state-owned development company Miferso for the possible loss to friendly rival, Arcelor Mittal of India, of the 750m-ton iron ore project at Faleme in central Senegal.
