Nearly a half-decade into the deep throes of replanting because of phylloxera, wineries now can add the nurseryman to a growing list of integral personnel.
Additionally, out of economic and technological necessity, that nursery may be operating a fully-functional, on-premise greenhouse facility.
While some wineries already have on-line operating greenhouses, there is nothing like the $400,000 plant Joseph E. Seagram & Sons has created at its Sterling Vineyards property in the Napa Valley, south of Calistoga.
