Jul. 26--LYNN HAVEN -- Lynn Haven's proposed budget for the new fiscal year earmarks $12.7 million for water and sewer improvements, including extending a line for treated sewage to empty onto city-owned property in the Sand Hills area.
Even as city leaders voted Tuesday to lower the millage rate, the city is dedicating $9.2 million to its sewer capital projects schedule, $3 million of which will go to expanding the advanced wastewater treatment plant on Fifth Street. The piping and pumps heading to the Sand Hills will cost $5 million. Smaller amounts are appropriated for other sewer infrastructure.
