NEW YORK, July 27 Asia Pulse - The United States opposes the call for ending "Operation Enduring Freedom" in Afghanistan as favoured by the Italian Foreign Minister, Massimo D'Alema.
"OEF - Operation Enduring Freedom - and the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) mission are separate but complementary missions. They're both doing important work there, and the idea is that the work they're doing is mutually reinforcing," U.S. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters in Washington in response to a question.
