COLUMN: RED SOX NOTES
CLEVELAND - The Pawtucket Red Sox starting rotation has more than 270 major league wins in it these days.
That is because it includes both Curt Schilling and Joel Pineiro.
Schilling is with the PawSox on a rehab assignment and is scheduled to start tonight in nearby Toledo for Pawtucket. Pineiro accepted an optional assignment to Triple A and started last night for the PawSox, also in Toledo. He pitched three scoreless innings.
Pineiro wants to be a starter again, manager Terry Francona said yesterday, and will be used with that in mind. Pineiro told the Sox when they designated him for assignment that he had ...
