Jul. 27--The South Side Archers held off the Wayne Generals 32-26 in the boys high school summer league tournament championship at Taylor University.
South Side was led by Andre Stephens with 17 points, while Wayne was led by Deondre Easley with 13 points. Wayne advanced to the finals by beating Snider 62-40 in the semifinal round, while South Side beat North Side 53-45.
In the Division II bracket (which comprises reserve high school teams), Elmhurst won an exciting game against Bishop Luers 54-50 for the championship.
In its 25th season, the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Departments ends the high school summer ...
