Jul. 27--Striking tennis balls on practice court 7, it wasn't surprising to see 5-foot-11 Daniela Hantuchova tower over her opponent. Except this time it wasn't one of the women in the singles draw at the Bank of the West Classic, but rather race car driver Bruno Junqueira, who is in town to compete in Sunday's third annual San Jose Grand Prix.
A member of the Dale Coyne Racing team, Junqueira is 10th in the standings with 108 points, and it was obvious Thursday that's not good enough for him.
