Jul. 27--The Little Tramp and "The African Queen" will be among the characters gracing the screen at this year's August Movie Night series at the McFaddin-Ward House.
The event, now in its fifth year, kicks off Thursday and will focus on the 1910s with movies reflecting themes from that decade.
"We do a different decade each year. Last year we did 1900 to 1910," Judy Linsley, education coordinator for the McFaddin-Ward House, said. "So we took movies that were made in the 1910s or that deal with people and events during that decade."
The films this year will include 1931's "Mata Hari," 1942's "Yankee Doodle Dandy," ...
