Jul. 28--Overnight rains and a wind shift changed how Champions Run played Friday, and Cox Classic second-round leader Roland Thatcher liked it.
"The sight line changed on almost every single tee shot," Thatcher said. "It almost was like playing a completely different golf course. There were a lot of adjustments to be made, and some of them actually seemed to fit my eye a little bit better today."
Going for his second Nationwide Tour win of the month, the Auburn graduate shot 63 to tie the tournament's 36-hole scoring record of 15-under-par 127 for a two-shot lead over Scott Sterling. It's also the best opening 36-hole ...
