Jul. 28--WASHINGTON -- Over the last 25 years, the Federalist Society has grown from a few disgruntled conservative students upset about left-leaning law school professors to a powerful group that counts a Supreme Court justice among its advisers.
To counter that, a group of progressive students started their own group in 2001, hoping to promote the view that the Constitution should be interpreted in a way that takes into account the changing times.
The organization, now known as the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, will have its fifth annual convention in Washington starting today. Membership stands at ...
