Jul. 28--A company owned by local developer Jose Lindner hasn't paid up as agreed under a land sale contract, and it ain't chicken feed, the owners of W.B. Smith Hatchery Inc. and W.B. Smith Feed Mill Inc. claim in a lawsuit filed earlier this month in Boone County Circuit Court.
The lawsuit said Lindner agreed to split the cost of an environmental evaluation and cleanup and demolition of hog farming structures on land purchased through Providence Farms LLC about 18 months ago.
The Smiths said Lindner owes them $295,305.
According to the lawsuit, the Smiths spent more than $700,000 to do the cleanup and ...
