COLUMN: TRAINING CAMP OPENS
FOXBORO - This year marks Rodney Harrison's 14th training camp - his 14th year of tedium and toil, two-a-days and scorching temperatures.
Yesterday, after the Patriots' first practice of training camp 2007, Harrison had a smile from ear to ear.
"I'm always excited to get a chance to play in the National Football League and to be out here at training camp," New England's hard-hitting, 34-year-old defensive leader said. "Especially after everything I've gone through, just to have the opportunity to come back. I'm very excited to get back out here."
