GREEN BAY -- Ted Thompson has nothing against Dave Rayner or Jon Ryan.
In fact, the Green Bay Packers general manager told the assembled shareholders during the club's annual meeting earlier this week he was "very happy" with his incumbent kicker (Rayner) and punter (Ryan).
But - and you just knew there was a "but" coming from the moment Thompson started speaking - "we absolutely wanted to increase the competition" at each of those spots, Thompson said.
