Article: Northwest Florida Daily News, Fort Walton Beach, Wendy Victora column: Readers' charity allows woman to bury mom next to dad.(Column)

Byline: Wendy Victora

Jul. 29--Quite a few of you who read last Sunday's column (you know who you are) made a grown woman cry.

You're the ones who sent checks to help bury a Navarre woman's mom.

Sandy Davis, who had taken care of her invalid mother for eight years, couldn't afford to bury her when she died earlier this month.

The older woman's body had been sitting at the Pensacola medical examiner's office for almost two weeks when my column appeared. Sandy, a waitress at a local restaurant, was desperate.

Now she is grateful.

Grateful almost beyond words. Grateful to tears.
