Bonita Springs developer Ben Maltese says he's counting on a counter-cyclical strategy to make a success out of his high-end subdivision on Palm Shores Boulevard, off U.S. 17, near the confluence of the Peace River and Hunter Creek.

Maltese hosted about 40 guests at a ribbon-cutting and reception Thursday morning.
