Jul. 29--PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- There would be no sluggish start for Brandon Moss this year. He made certain to get the season off to a slugging start.
The former Lowell Spinner hit a grand slam in his very first Triple-A at-bat for the Pawtucket Red Sox on Opening Day, and he has been the most consistent and productive hitter for the PawSox all season.
Going into last night's action, Moss was leading Pawtucket in most of the major offensive categories, batting .301 with 32 doubles, 13 homers, 64 RBI, 54 runs, and 49 walks. He was slugging .500 and owned a .384 on-base percentage.
