As I reflect back on my three years in the Army Office of the Chief of Legislative Liaison, I realize it has been a period of incredible personal and professional growth. It is more relevant to being an Functional Area 24 and an Army officer than I previously thought.
In 2005, I served a one year fellowship on Capitol Hill in the office of Senator Jack Reed from Rhode Island. My payback tour is two years in the Pentagon working in legislative liaison. I am responsible for the logistics portfolio, so not only am I working outside of FA24, I am also working outside of signal.
