Jul. 29--People say funerals are for the living.
If that's true, then why do we often feel awkward and uncomfortable once we've expressed condolences to the deceased's loved ones?
"I don't think anyone visiting a funeral home feels comfortable. There's only so many things to say at that time," said Bradd Hammond of Frederick. He creates "still life" memorials for families to be displayed during visitations and funerals. These three-dimensional memorials include photographs and memorabilia that help tell mourners about the deceased's whole life, and serve as a connecting point for people who may have only known the person ...
