THE change to the handicapping system, which governs amateur golfers throughout the country, has finally arrived. It will officially be implemented this Sunday.
Now there will be no chance of manipulating handicaps or even a chance of "ducking and diving" when playing in sponsored golf days. Scores need to be entered within 72 hours or there will be a penalty.
And let's hope that every golfer - whether a scratch or a 24-handicap - will play the game according to the rules, which asks for your scores to be entered on the computer after each round.
