Aug. 1--Three months ago, Angie Leon moved her family from Rowlett to the Lakeside at Walnut Hill apartments in North Dallas.
She wanted to be closer to her family, who already lived at the complex. But it's a convenience that will be short-lived.
On Tuesday, Mrs. Leon and more than 100 other Lakeside residents were forced to move out of the 42-acre complex, which management officials said was mostly empty.
The structure will be demolished to make way for an upscale residential and retail development at the northwest corner of North Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane.
