Aug. 1--Operation Military Kids, sponsored by 4-H, is giving the public a chance to show support to families of deployed military members.
With e-cards, sent over the Internet, people can quickly thank families for their sacrifices of time with a parent, organizers say.
People can send e-cards from the mobile technology lab unit at the Sarpy County Fair in Springfield, Neb., this week. Times are: Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Thursday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 5, from noon to 4 p.m.
